Sun Kai [she/her]
Facilitator
Sun is a career development and learning specialist, trainer and facilitator, trauma-informed yoga teacher, and mindfulness practitioner passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves, their purpose, and their joy. She currently works at a workforce development organization, where she supports individuals through career development, facilitates learning experiences, and creates engaging educational experiences that help people build confidence and move toward their goals. With a background in education, coaching, and workforce development, Sun brings a whole-person approach to learning and growth.
Sun’s yoga journey began after committing to a personal health challenge and accepting a suggestion to join a yoga class at 612 Jungle. What began as a personal commitment to well-being quickly became a transformative practice. Through the 612 Jungle yoga teacher training program, Sun discovered a deeper connection to movement, mindfulness, and the body—and truly began to bloom.
Today, Sun’s yoga practice is rooted in accessibility, compassion, and the belief that yoga can be a powerful tool for healing, self-discovery, and reconnecting with joy. Her experience in trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, and working with diverse communities informs her approach to creating welcoming spaces where people can explore movement and presence in ways that feel safe and meaningful.
Sun is honored to work with Karuna Community MN and support its mission of making yoga accessible to the community. She sees yoga as an extension of her work in career development and learning: a way to help people build awareness, cultivate resilience, and reconnect with the wisdom they already carry within themselves.
